Summer has arrive and in my country, it’s sizzling HOT! The heat is really killing me!! Well sumer has arrive and a lot of people are really looking forward to it. 40 days of holiday! Lot’s of my friends are going on holiday overseas, while I’m stuck at home, typing and typing…
So okay… to enjoy summer, different singles have been or will be released!! The single has summer as their main theme!! (maybe not Aqua Timez, but the rest do!)
1. Himawari by Hearts Grow [OUT: JUNE 13 2007]
A single from Hearts Grow. Their previous song Yura Yura was wonderful and here comes their newest single. It is a summer song and takes the sunflower as their topic. The singer Haruna just had a new hair cut and it looks pretty nice. Actually not only her, the other members also made some changes… Another great song and it is pretty enjoyable to listen to. The pv is very YELLOW. Hahaha. 2. Tashika ni by Angela Aki [OUT: JULY 11 2007]
Another great single from Angela Aki. Her piano playing always surprises me. It’s an upbeat song and it is actually the new LISMO CM song. The song is suppose to picture a summer pop tune. It is actually nice and I enjoy listening to it. Angela sings a lot of lalalalalala and repeats the words tashika ni very often (doh, it’s the song name). The song may sound a little bit repetitive but it is still nice. You can view the pv in YouTube or Veoh. Nice pv ^_^ and she ended up standing while playing the piano at the end of the song. She surely has a nice voice.
3. NATSU MONO by AAA [OUT JULY 18 2007]
Notable song: SUNSHINE
As you have known, Goto Yukari is not in this band anymore T_T. Nice song, some parts they were dancing a bit weird. Poor dudes, 3 big guys kept on getting spilled by food. (what a waste of food!) This time, Nishijiama Takahiro didn’t get that much solo part like their other song. Still, it’s a nice song. ^_^ A very good summer song and it brings the summer spirit. The pv makes you hungry :p.
4. Hotarubi by RYTHEM [OUT: JULY 18 2007]
It is actually very nice, you can view their live video on youtube. It was suppose to be released a long time ago, but it was cancelled, so they released it now. Personally I like the song right after I listened to it. A little bit different thn Sakura Uta but it still is nice. The song has a nice, calm, summer feel to it. The website described it as a medium, love ballad. 5. PEACH/HEART by Otsuka Ai [OUT: JULY 25 2007]
Otsuka Ai’s double A-side single. CD and CD+DVD
a) PEACH: A upbeat summer song and they said it is a song that gives you the feeling of the refreshing summer sky. A very lively, happy and jumpy song I say. Her cute voice adds to the jumpiness in the song. The word PEACH really stands out. A very unique song. There is the cute factor in the song and a nice guitar solo. The song PEACH will be the theme of the upcoming dorama “Hanazakari no Kimitachi e.” The dorama is played by Horikita Maki and Oguri Shun!!! YEAY!!!! ^_^/

b) HEART: A great song which I think is a good blance for PEACH. Maybe because the tempo is slower and it just sounds nicer. It flows really well and the music is really nice. Not as jumpys but has great quality. It does give a nice summer feel to it. I listened to both of the song in You Tube. Like the ending too ^_^
6. ALONES by Aqua Timez [OUT: AUGUST 1 2007]

Not a summer themed song but it is wonderful!! Bleach anime new opening!! Another great song by Aqua Timez!!! Yeay!! Really looking forward to this~ Just listening to the short version is already great! Can’t wait till the full version comes out!! LOVE THE SONG!
There are still other summer songs out there shich I don’t know of or not very interested in. For example is EXILE’s SUMMER TIME LOVE. I’m not a fan of EXILE, actually I don’t like them. This is becuse I don’t get the point of having soooo many members in the group when all they do is dance. Just don’t get it.
